This is a part-time or temporary non-benefited position.
NDSU FACILITIES MANAGEMENT - HEATING PLANT has openings for temporary employees in the heating plant.
Description & Details:
- Unloading coal from train cars
- Pulling ash on industrial boilers
- Blowing soot on coal boilers
- Shop work, assisting operator or mechanic
- Hauling and stockpiling coal
- Operating front end loader
- Assist the Lead operator with the shift duties required to operate the Heating Plant.
- Assist with cleaning the plant and coal unloading area/ including scraping, shoveling, sweeping/washing floors, and accomplish all other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
- Rotating Shifts and night and weekend work involved.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous work experience, if any
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 yrs old or older
- Resume not required but encouraged
- Ability to operate equipment including front end loader
- Ability to work flexible shift schedule including nights and weekends
