Position Information

 

Minot State University is seeking candidates for a full-time Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach/Facilities. This position reports to the Head Women’s Soccer Coach and is responsible for helping create and maintain a successful Women’s Soccer program in compliance with all NCAA, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and institutional rules and regulations.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating the successful recruitment of prospective student-athletes, academic support, skill instruction, practice/game planning and execution. This position will also be responsible for assisting the Director of Athletic Facility Operations with event set-ups, event teardowns, and any other facility duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications: 

Knowledge, skills and abilities preferred to perform duties and responsibilities described above: 

  1. Soccer coaching experience. 
  2. Possess general computer skills required, database management software experience preferred. 
  3. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be on your feet for much of the day. 
  4. Have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills. 
  5. Demonstrated ability to multi-task. 

Requisite Education and Experience: 

·         Education: Bachelor’s Degree, required. Master’s Degree, preferred. 

Professional Licensure/Certification:

·         USSF (United States Soccer Federation) ‘D’ License, or equivalent preferred

Experience:

·         Coaching, recruiting 

Which types of experience might be substituted for the education requirements? 

·         5+ years’ experience in coaching at the club, high school, or collegiate level.
