The ND Center for Persons with Disabilities at MSU is recruiting students to serve as ASTEP Peer Mentors. ASTEP (Advancing Students Toward Education and Employment Program) is a 2 to 3-year transition and postsecondary education program for students with intellectual disabilities (ID) giving them the opportunity to achieve their goals in an inclusive and supportive college environment. The PEER MENTOR positions are university students who support the students with ID in all areas of the program based on needs. These roles of a PEER MENTOR includes academic support, job coaching, social support, and independent living skills training assisting students with integration into an inclusive campus environment.
