Position Description & Details

 

 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Chemistry Lab Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to the smooth operation of our chemistry laboratories.

  • Prepare reagents and equipment for laboratory experiments according to established procedures.
  • Process and clean up reagents and equipment after laboratory experiments, ensuring proper disposal and storage procedures are followed.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment, including ordering and restocking as necessary.
  • Organize and maintain the stockroom, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Complete other laboratory duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

  • Continuously – 66-100% - Use hands dexterously, talk or hear.
  • Frequently – 34-65% - Stand, walk, or sit.
  • Occasionally – 1-33% - Reach with hands and arms, stoop/kneel/crouch, crawl, climb or balance, or lift to 25 pounds.

Minimum Requirements

 
  • Demonstrated positive customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals of varying ages and backgrounds.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills, with keen attention to detail.
