Graduate Teaching Fellow

 

Position Summary:

The Mathematics Department at NDSU invites applications by mathematics graduate students as Graduate Teaching Fellows. Teaching fellows are responsible for performing teaching or teaching-related duties to assist faculty members and lecturers.

 

Duties include teaching two classes (usually Math 98 – Math 129) as primary instructors each semester, or performing similar duties as directed by the chair of the mathematics department.

 

Required Skills/Experience:

These skills are critical to the everyday activities of this position

  • Current GTA and enrolled as a graduate student in the mathematics department at NDSU.
  • Successfully completed all written preliminary examinations.
  • Successfully taught at least one course as primary instructor.
  • Exhibits progression the graduate program.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
