Job Title:  Campus Counselor

Location: Mayville State University, Mayville, ND

Compensation: $45,920 - $65,920 - To commensurate with level of education and experience - 10 month position

Benefits: Includes single or family health care coverage (premiums paid for by the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, tuition waiver, annual and sick leave. Position Details:

Mayville State University has an opening for an on-campus Counselor to direct personal/social counseling services for students, provide outreach programming for students, and to coordinate efforts for external referrals and/or additional mental health resources on campus. This position exists to offer individual and/or group counseling to students who are experiencing personal-emotional, professional, or educational concerns; offer consultation services to faculty and staff; provide outreach programming to the campus community and explore opportunities to expand services to students via external referrals, online counseling, and other means.

Required Competencies:

· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

· Ability to work with confidential information.

· Superb organizational skills

Minimum qualifications:

· Master’s Degree in Counseling or related areas

· Direct experience and knowledge of Counseling and best practices with mental health education.

· Licensure eligible in North Dakota (LAPC, LPC, LPCC, LCSW or LICSW)

· Knowledge of MicroSoft Office products.

Preferred qualifications:

· Knowledge of student development theory and practices.

· Experience in a Higher Ed setting.
