LOCATION: NDSCS – Wahpeton, North Dakota 

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time, 12-month, benefited position

JOB SUMMARY: The NDSCS Bookstore is looking to add a Customer Service & Retail Operations Coordinator to their team.  Primary responsibilities include customer service & general merchandise management, coordination of student employee hiring and training, coordinating allied health course supplies, and assisting with store marketing and promotions. In addition, this position supports the operation of the bookstore by assisting with deposits, monthly reporting, accounts payable, textbook and store managerial functions, and providing mail services support. The successful applicant must be flexible, highly motivated, self-directed, and able to analyze and solve problems while working effectively in a team-centered atmosphere.

SALARY: $34,000 - $42,000 commensurate with education and experience

Required Competencies

 
  • Must support the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS
  • 2-year college degree or 4+ years of work experience in a related field
  • Understanding of retail margin and markup/markdown
  • Must be committed to providing excellent customer service
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer operations
  • Must be motivated, self-directed, and able to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Motivated, self-directed, and able to work effectively and professionally with students and staff in a team setting
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

 
  • Business Administration, Sales/Marketing, or Retail degree
  • Previous College Bookstore experience strongly desired.
