Position Information

 

Description & Details:

This position overseen by the Dean of Students Office will work collaboratively with the NDSU Counseling Center, Student Health Services, Center for Accessibility/Disability Services and the larger campus community to assist students experiencing significant challenges and/or barriers to academic success. The position will assist students in problems solving and life skill development while connecting students to both NDSU and community resources to support their personal well-being and academic success. This position requires a Licensed Social Worker.  

-Independent interviews with students and assessment of student needs.
-Coordination of services to provide needed support to students.
-Refer and connect students to campus and community resources.
-Create action plans with individual students and manage ongoing cases.
-Perform campus outreach, education, and relationship building.
-Develop and maintain relationships with campus and community agencies.
-Assist students in crisis and connecting to resources.
-Document case management services, maintain data, and provide reports.
-Serve collaboratively on related campus committees and task forces.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday  8am-5 pm, 7:30am-4 pm during breaks and summer

Advertised Salary:

$50,000+, plus excellent benefits package

Minimum Qualifications:

-Licensed social worker (LBSW) in the state of ND
-Demonstrated experience serving diverse populations
-Experience identifying and making referrals for appropriate services
-Effective communication skills
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively
-Ability to successfully organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

-5 years Case Management Experience
-Prior work experience in a related setting
-Demonstrated experience working with multiple systems
