Description & Details:

The Associate Director, International Enrollment Management and Student Success provides leadership and vision for NDSU’s international student enrollment and retention strategy. This includes oversight of a comprehensive and holistic international student advising program, results-driven intake and orientation process for new international students, and management of relationships in support of international enrollment goals both on and off campus. This position works closely with the Director of ISSAS and the Associate Director, Global Engagement and Partnerships, in support of NDSU’s internationalization priorities. 

The Associate Director will supervise a dynamic team of three international student advisors, advising nearly 800 international students. Under the leadership of the Associate Director, the International Enrollment Management and Student Success team is responsible for:
1) Executing on a clear vision for international student advising and retention programming;
2) Managing a comprehensive new international student intake;
3) Continuous development of an impactful new student orientation experience; and,
4) Developing relationships with key stakeholders on and off campus, including community members, recruitment partners, faculty, staff, and professional colleagues.
 
The Associate Director will serve as the institution's PDSO and an ARO, while also taking an active part on the ISSAS leadership team to help shape internationalization priorities at NDSU.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM, 7:30AM-4PM during breaks and summer; some nights and weekends or other irregular hours when necessary. 

Advertised Salary:

$70,000+ DOE plus excellent benefits

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree
5 or more years of experience supporting international student enrollment through recruitment and/or advising
Demonstrable knowledge of trends international enrollment management and student advising
At least one year of experience supervising others
Six months or longer living, working, or studying abroad.

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctoral degree
Experience designing and delivering innovative international student programming
Ability to speak, read or write at least one language other than English
