Position Description:
Valley City State University is searching for an Assistant/Graduate Assistant for Softball. This position will assist the head coach with the following duties: scheduling competitions and planning practices with emphasis on defense; implementing strength and conditioning programs, recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and retaining student athletes; monitoring annual budgets; arranging team and recruiting travel; fundraising and other departmental duties; fostering strong alumni relations and meeting all institutional, and NAIA rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, excellent communication skills; strong organizational and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Acceptance into the VCSU Grad Program, a demonstrated ability to be academically and athletically successful student-athletes; a commitment and history of integrating the student athlete into the campus community of a small college.
Compensation:
$6,000 stipend for fall and spring semester, single dorm room waiver, tuition waiver
