Position Information

 

This position within the University Relations team will support NDSU's mission through full stack development, as well as supporting and educating campus clients in guidelines and best practices for delivering, evaluating, implementing and maintaining web and digital communication to support the needs of the university.  The role will be a key player in executing web strategies as part of a tightly integrated communication team and will ensure that the university's websites are compliant with government regulations and mandates, including web accessibility.  Principal duties involve web development and web content maintenance in Drupal; collaboration with internal and external partners; use of CMS technologies, and creation of end-user documentation, including training materials.

Advertised Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. in computer science, web design, or related field
  • 1+ years' experience developing responsive websites or equivalent
  • Experience in HTML and CSS, basic knowledge of JavaScript
  • Experience working with a Content Management System (CMS), Drupal preferred
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships with design/development teams and other staff/vendors while communicating across varying areas of specialization
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years' experience developing responsive websites or equivalent
  • Experience with website technical support
  • Experience in UX/UI design including website components/pages and implementing web designs
  • Experience with PHP development
  • Experience with Drupal
  • Experience with Photoshop, Figma, Sketch or other design tools
